Deadly fire in Langley pool house

LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) – One person is dead after a fire in Langley last night.

The fire broke out at around 10 p.m.; crews managed to contain it to the pool house on 76B Crescent (near 229 Street and 76A Avenue).

Mounties discovered the body just after midnight.

“We believe it was the tenant of the pool house,” says RCMP Staff Sergeant David Brown.

“We don’t feel there’s anything nefarious about these circumstances,” he adds.

Investigators don’t yet know how the fire started.
