UPDATE: Two-year-old Issac Leuenberger was found safe near Yankee Lake this morning in good health.

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A massive search is underway in the East Kootenays for a missing two-year-old boy. Dogs, helicopters and over 70 search and rescue volunteers are all helping look for him.

Two year old Issac Leuenberger was last seen around 7 p.m. last night in Premier Lake Provincial Campground.

Kimberley RCMP Corporal Chris Newel says so far there has been no sign of him. “Mum had been out for a walk with young Issac and two other siblings and at one point realized that the young two year old was no longer following along in the group and she had rounded a corner actually on a road, so it is a public area.”

Issac is 2 foot five, 35 pounds and has blond hair with blue eyes. He was wearing gray sweat pants, plaid shirt (yellow, orange and white) and blue Thomas the Tank running shoes.

If you have any information that could help find him please contact Kimberly RCMP.
