2016 Fair at the PNE lineup announced

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The lineup for the 2016 Fair at the PNE has been announced, along with a couple of new additions to the exhibition.

The Summer Nights Concert series begins August 20th, and runs through to September 5th:

Tues., Aug. 23rd – The Sheepdogs

Thurs., Aug.25th – Simple Plan
Fri., Aug. 26th – Olivia Newton-John
Sat., Aug. 27th – FOREIGNER
Sun., Aug. 28th – Culture Club
Tues., Aug. 30th – MONSTER TRUCK
Wed., Aug. 31st – A Tribe Called Red
Thurs., Sept. 1st – Dru Hill with Sisqo, Nokio, Jazz & Tao, 20th Anniversary
Fri., Sept. 2nd – Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo: We Live For Love Tour

The PNE has also revealed a new Angry Birds Universe exhibit, in which you become an Angry Bird! You can zip line into foam buildings and explore a laser maze, climbing wall, planetarium, and oversized sling shots.

Alien Worlds and Androids is another new exhibit, where the worlds of science fiction and science fact fuse together answering questions like “how close are we to discovering new alien worlds and alien life?” and “what are the differences between androids and robots?”.

A Magical Experience will take over the Coliseum nightly and will dazzle you with world-class illusions.

Festival Park is a new themed entertainment zone, celebrating Canada ahead of its 150th birthday! You might even find your face on the giant selfie screen (but remember, Selfie Sticks are not allowed).

Senior’s Day 2016 will pay tribute to Dal Richards. The legendary band leader called the PNE home for 75 years.

And returning for another year, is the Craft Beer Festival; it’s found a new home in the Italian Gardens. The PNE Prize Home is back again, as is the Donut Dash, Dinosaurs Alive!, Dueling Pianos, SuperDogs, Mermaid Tails, Let’s Pretend with KC Bear, and the Kidz Discovery Farm.

Regular admission is $17 at the gate, $13 online; senior passes are $8.50 at the gate, $6.50 online; kids under 13 get in for free!
