Good Samaritan assaulted on SkyTrain

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A man who told three men to stop harassing a woman on a SkyTrain last week was the victim of an assault Thursday night.

Anne Drennan with the Transit Police says the victim was punched in the face and arm after confronting the men after he heard them suggest they would follow the woman on the train home.

The suspects ran after the emergency strip was pushed at Lougheed Station.

“They then ran from the platform with Transit Police arriving a few minutes later and broadcasting their description. We patrolled the area but with negative results,” she explains. “At Lougheed station, the first man got off the train and was followed by two of the suspects who punched him in the face and his body before getting back on the train.”

You are asked to contact Transit Police if you have information about this attack.
