NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A motorcyclist is dead after he lost control and crashed in North Vancouver earlier this week.
It happened at around 9 a.m. on Wednesday. The 32-year-old from Vancouver was heading west on Highway 1 and exiting at Lillooet Road. Police say the motorcyclist was thrown over the concrete median and then run over by an oncoming car.
The man was taken to Lions Gate Hospital in serious condition; he later died of his injuries.
The driver of the car involved in the crash stayed at the scene.
Police don’t think alcohol was involved, but believe speed was a factor in the crash.
