Harmony Arts Festival starts Friday

WEST VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – From Friday until August 7th there will be free performances for nearly everyone in West Vancouver for the Harmony Arts Festival.

It’s not just the waterfront that will attract thousands to West Vancouver.

Claire Woodbridge with the festival says this event isn’t just for the art savvy.

“We’ve got about 55 performing acts this year. They are all free and open to the public, and it ranges from everything from dueling pianos to kid-friendly music to classical music to some local headlining acts as well too.”

Woodbridge says there are a couple of surprises in store for people coming out.

“I think two things surprise people, number one is that it is free and open to the public. So all of the concerts, the dining areas and open and accessible. And I think the other thing is that it’s a really stunning area that the site is on.”

She says it’s also a chance for local artists to show the world what they can do.
