VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Two people are dead after an SUV slammed into a tree and a pole at Seymour St. and Davie St. in downtown Vancouver. It happened around 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
The 68-year-old driver and his 70-year-old female passenger died at the scene. The three pedestrians injured were all men in their 30’s and were taken to hospital with a variety of injuries ranging from lacerations and bruising to a broken femur and a punctured lung.
Police believe speed is a factor in the crash and investigators are working to determine if any underlying medical conditions could have contributed.
