Another possible targeted shooting on the Lower Mainland

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) – Mounties in Burnaby are looking into another possible targeted hit — the latest in a recent uptick in gun violence across the region.

People living just west of Brentwood Mall thought they heard gunshots before midnight. When the RCMP arrived, they found a bullet hole in the wall of an apartment building on Rosser Avenue, but nothing else.

The scene is about a five minute drive from Broadway and Fell Avenue where a man was shot behind the while and crashed his car into a home early Wednesday morning.

No one in the home was injured in that case but were obviously shaken. “We are satisfied with the progress we are making on this investigation thus far,” says RCMP Sergeant Annie Linteau. “A number of police resources will continue to look at a possible motive for this incident and look at who could potentially be involved.”

Burnaby RCMP are asking anyone who may have any information about either case to give them a call at 604.294.7922.
