Price makes 42 saves as the Habs shutout the Canucks 3-0

MONTREAL (NEWS 1130) – The Canucks goal scoring struggles continued in a 3-0 loss on the road in Montreal. Vancouver outplayed the Habs, but Carey Price was sensational making 42 saves for the shutout.

Ryan Miller stopped 20 shots, but hasn’t had any goal support in his last two starts.

Canadiens defenceman Nathan Beaulieu opened the scoring with his first of the season 12:22 into the second period. Torrey Mitchell added to the lead with less than a minute left before the intermission.

Vancouver continued to pepper Price with shots but ultimately came up short. Late in the third, Alex Radulov came into the Canucks zone with Miller pulled and was awarded an automatic goal when Alex Edler was called for a penalty.

The Canucks have lost six straight games, and were shutout for the third time in their last four outings. Vancouver is last in the NHL averaging just 1.60 goals a game.
