Word of Leung’s death surfaced last night after an update was posted on social media.

We ask that everyone at the moment respect the family’s privacy and we will release more details as they become available. We thank you all for your prayers, love, and support at this very difficult time.”

“Florence, you are missed dearly in our hearts. We believe you are at a better place now watching over us with your loving, caring, and warming heart,” says the statement on Facebook.

It’s believed the 32-year-old may have been suffering from postpartum depression. Her car was found on the outskirts of Stanley Park shortly after she first disappeared but a search was called off following efforts from North Shore Rescue, police and volunteers.
