Up to another five to 10 centimetres was expected in some areas

Snowfall warning re-issued and cancelled less than 12 hours later by Environment Canada

METRO VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – It was a surprise snowfall for many people waking up this morning — the region was hit with yet another round of snow.

Late last night, Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning that five to 10 centimetres were expected, but that alert has since been ended. NEWS 1130 Meteorologist Russ Lacate says the flurries will taper off quickly this morning and up next for the region is an intense deep freeze.

The Alex Fraser Bridge has been closed in both directions due to falling snow.
There are no other major problems being reported at this time on any of the major local routes, however, you have to have winter tires to take the out of town highways including the Sea to Sky and Coquihalla

Passengers are being warned to dress warm and to expect widespread delays on bus routes as well as at SkyTrain stations across the grid
