Markstrom leads Canucks to shootout win over Oilers

EDMONTON (NEWS 1130) – The Canucks ended 2016 on a high note. Vancouver beat Edmonton 3-2 in a shootout for its first three game winning streak since October.

Jacob Markstrom was sensational making 42 saves.

Alex Burrows and Sven Baertschi had the Vancouver goals. Bo Horvat played one his best games of the season. He assisted on both Canuck goals and scored the winner in the shootout.

Vancouver has won three straight for the first time since October and hosts Colorado for its first game of the new year on Monday.
