ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) – Investigators in Abbotsford are helping the family of a missing woman who has reportedly vanished in Peru.

The family of 41-year-old Kimberlee Kasatkin told police last week that she disappeared from a home in Lima that she shares with her two children and common-law husband. They also say she is part of an investigation that involves Interpol. Her family tells police they say their last contact with her was on November 26th and that she often splits her time between Peru and her home in Abbotsford.

“The family believes that Kimberlee has many friends in Abbotsford and the Fraser Valley who may have had recent contact from her or might know something that could assist the missing person investigation,” says Constable Ian MacDonald.

“Kim is a loving mother and she’s very active on social media. None of our family or friends of hers that we’re aware of have had any contact with her since the evening of the 26th of November,” says Kasatkin’s mother.

Family members from Abbotsford will be going to Peru to look for her and say they will be in touch with the Canadian Embassy.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Abbotsford Police Department at 604.859.5225 or text APD at 222973 (abbypd).
