Warmer weather returning to the Lower Mainland

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – It looks like we may be heading back to Vancouver’s usually brag-worthy winter weather.

The latest forecast shows we could see highs of 9 degrees by mid-week.

Yes, some people will be happy for rain, as a trade-off for the frigid temperatures, and slushy, icy sidewalks.

Environment Canada data shows Vancouver has seen two times as much snow than usual this winter, and twice the number of below average cold days.

But before you brag too much to your friends in other provinces about our temperature up-swing,

Remember Alberta’s wind chills of minus 45 this past week?

They’re also turning around, with Edmonton expected to get up to around 10 degrees over the next few days.
