Several children injured in bus crash east of Mission

MISSION (NEWS 1130) – Eight children have been treated for minor injuries following an early morning crash near the intersection of Husband Road and Lougheed Highway east of Mission.

Police say a bus carrying 62 passengers was struck by an oncoming car.

Lougheed Highway was closed in both directions for about two hours as police investigated and investigators believe both icy roads and speed are contributing factors.

The investigation is being handled by the Fraser Valley Traffic Services.
