Police investigating homicide in Burnaby

BURNABY (NEWS1130) – One woman is dead and a man is in custody.
First responders were called just after 1 p.m. on Thursday after hearing about a woman who needed help near 18th Avenue and 4th Street. When they arrived, a 45-year-old was found dead and a 47-year-old man was then taken into custody. According to police, the two were known to each other.
This is not believed to be a random attack.
There has been a steady stream of police coming and going through the area. The pink building is now considered a murder scene.
One man who lives in the area, says it was a couple who lived in the basement portion of the house.
