VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A 25-year-old man who Transit Police say is well known to them has been charged following a seven-month investigation into a sex attack on the Canada Line last summer.

Investigators say the suspect stood very close to a woman on a train as she made her way to work late in the morning on July 7th.

Police say she was assaulted and then followed by the man as she tried to get out of Yaletown station.

CCTV footage identified the suspect but he wasn’t found until about two weeks ago when he was arrested at Stadium-Chinatown SkyTrain station.

Dwight Wells is charged with sexual assault.
