Vancouverites not impressed with latest snowfall

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Another snowfall warning is in effect for Metro Vancouver making its unusually long winter even longer.

NEWS 1130 caught up with some people in the area to gauge their reaction to more snow.

You’d normally be preparing for spring this time of year but mother nature isn’t being too kind to Vancouver.

People we spoke to near Cambie Street and Broadway say they’re done with the cold and are ready ditch their snow shovels for the sun.

“I think it’s crazy, absolutely crazy. We don’t usually get this!” said one passerby.

“It’s messed up! I mean, I’m waiting for spring and I was kind of expecting the sun would be out already,” agrees another.

Two more women told us that they’re ready for winter to move along and for Vancouver to get back to it’s normal, rainier climate.

Other people we spoke to say they were hoping to get back to outdoor activities like cycling and walking before those plans were shot down by Old Man Winter.

This winter has been one for the books with February breaking multiple records for snowfall in Vancouver, some of which were set more than 50 years ago.
