Coquitlam Mountie charged in 2016 crash

COQUITLAM (NEWS 1130) – Almost a year after a car accident involving an off-duty RCMP officer in Coquitlam, a charge has now been laid against that officer.
The Independent Investigations Office says Sergeant Christopher Lee was driving back to the detachment just after 6:30 a.m. on March 21st of last year when the woman was hit. She was hurt badly enough that she had to be taken to the hospital.
Lee has now been charged with one count of driving without due care and attention.
He’ll be in court on April 27th.
