BC Ferries cancels 11 sailings due to hydraulic issue

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — BC Ferries is canceling 11 of its 57 sailings between Metro Vancouver and Victoria over the next few days to make repairs on one of its ships.
The Spirit of Vancouver Island will be dry-docked on March 31st for about a week to deal with a hydraulic issue with the port side controllable pitch propeller, according to an email from BC Ferries.
The Tsawwassen – Swartz Bay sailing schedule is being altered for March 30th, 31st, and April 2nd.
In the meantime, BC Ferries is also adding four sailings between Tsawwassen – Duke Point on April 2nd.
The additional sailings are scheduled to leave each dock at 5:15 a.m. and again at 7:45 a.m.
