COQUITLAM (NEWS 1130) – Mounties have arrested and charged two men from Burnaby after a series of robberies and break-ins spanning seven jurisdictions in the Lower Mainland.
20-year-old Nicholas Lenard Traviss and 26-year-old Dillon Juel Stanton are facing a total of 22 charges, most of which are robbery with a firearm.
Police say the robberies started on Feb. 20, and continued until Stanton and Traviss were arrested on Mar. 13.
Officers later searched a storage locker in Coquitlam and found a treasure-trove of stolen property, including cigarettes, vaping supplies, video games, gaming consoles, lottery tickets, and guns, some of which had illegal modifications and filed-off serial numbers.
The investigation eventually grew to involve police in Abbotsford, Burnaby, Langley, Mission, Ridge Meadows, and Surrey.
Stanton and Traviss will be back in court on Mar. 29.
