Surrey Creep Catchers video claims group’s president arrested

By

SURREY (NEWS 1130) — The Surrey Creep Catcher group claims its president was arrested during a sting in a parking garage Monday night.

None of the circumstances around the apparent arrest has been confirmed but a video has surfaced on the group’s Facebook page.

Surrey Creep Catcher is claiming its president, Ryan LaForge, was arrested Monday night.

The video shows group members, including its president Ryan LaForge, interact with someone the group believed to be a sexual predator.

“You know what this is? This is a citizen’s arrest, you’re not going anywhere, we videotaped you,” a person in the video says.

The images show the man being chased outside by the vigilante group after they “set him up” for sex with a six-year-old and her mother. At one point the target is thrown up against a wall and verbally abused.

Before LaForge’s alleged arrest is shown on tape, we hear him speaking with an officer while police speak with the person targeted in the creep catchers sting operation.

The officer speaking with the vigilante group’s president is heard asking for the video, at which point the video cuts and a new one is posted.

This time, we hear the voice of fellow Creep Catcher member Nicole Hunter, showing someone she says is LaForge in the distance being arrested for “assault”.

NEWS 1130 has reached out to Surrey RCMP for a comment, but have yet to hear back.

Members of Surrey Creep Catcher have chosen not to speak to us.
