Canucks searching for the first overall pick tonight

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – With a little luck, the Vancouver Canucks have a chance to alter the franchise tonight.
If the Canucks are able to win the NHL Draft Lottery they will hold the first overall draft pick, something they have never had before. The lowest the team can fall is fifth.
We should know the results of the lottery around 5:00 pm.
The team’s highest draft pick was in 1999 where they held the second and third overall picks and selected the Sedin twins. In 1988, the Canucks also selected second overall, taking current team President Trevor Linden. In 1990, Vancouver selected Petr Nedved second overall.
