Rain not enough to deter climate protestors in Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Protesters haven’t let a little rain stop them from marching in support of the environment in Vancouver today.

The People’s Climate March has drawn large crowds, locally and internationally, to mark the 100th day of the Donald Trump presidency.

In Washington DC, hundreds of thousands of people took part.

Thomas Davies with Climate Convergence says dozens of different groups have been represented at the Vancouver march.

“I think it’s really important that people in Canada see that there’s a climate justice movement and that we really have very big concerns with what Justin Trudeau’s doing as well, it’s not only Trump who’s having policies that are dangerous for the environment.”

One of the key issues voiced at the Vancouver march was the Kinder Morgan pipeline project.
