COQUITLAM (NEWS 1130) – One person is dead after a vehicle crashed through the gate of the Coquitlam River watershed on Pipeline Road last night.
Mounties are trying to figure out exactly what happened and the events leading up the collision. Officers were called out around 8 p.m. and when members arrived they discovered the car had slammed through the metal gate and then went down a steep embankment. There is an obvious dent in the gate that help police in their investigation.
It’s possible the wet weather could have played a role, but investigators haven’t released any details about a possible cause.
