Donald Trump investigated for possible obstruction of justice: officials

By

WASHINGTON (NEWS 1130) – The Washington Post is reporting US President Donald Trump is now under investigation for obstruction of justice in an expanding probe into possible Russian interference in the November election.

The Post cites five sources saying Robert Mueller will interview some top leaders in the Trump Administration including the heads of the National Security Agency and National Intelligence.

ABC News Legal Analyst Royal Oakes tells us what could happen next:

“A basic question is, where would and investigation of the president lead? Several years ago a DOJ legal opinion raised doubts as to whether can be indicted for a crime. The special council’s findings could of course be the basis for a combined legal and political decision by congress to impeach.”v

The White House is calling it a ‘leak’ and says it’s outrageous and illegal but the Post report never said the leak came from the FBI.
