Some amazing community events this weekend to kick off the official start to summer!
I met my friends from the Canadian Cancer Society at the Cops for Cancer Marine Day BBQ and spoke with families about their personal stories with cancer. The VPD Marine Unit hosted the event and I took my first VPD Marine Unit harbour cruise, what a thrill!
Then I made my way to Car Free Day on Denman Street for art and culture in the downtown community. Sunday I compared the Main Street to Denman Street Car Free Days and my finding were that Main Street was just a little more funky!
No better way to start Father’s Day than stocking up for the family BBQ at the Mount Pleasant Farmer’s Market where The Granola King hooked me up with some fuel for the day!
and the final wrap ended with the Vancouver Canadians Father’s Day Catch at the Nat! So special to see generations of Dads out with the kids and even grandchildren throwing some old fashioned ball!
See you next weekend Vancouver!
