Shootout between car and SUV in Surrey leaves none injured

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – Mounties are still piecing together exactly what led up to the latest call of gunshots in Surrey.

The call came in from the Newton neighbourhood just after 9 p.m. Sunday night near 122nd Street and 78th Avenue.

A black SUV and a silver Acura were seen speeding away from the area. At this point, police think this was a targeted shooting between the two vehicles.

No victims have been found, and there’s no evidence that any homes or other vehicles in the area were hit.

Another shooting involving a black SUV, which is also believed to be targeted, happened in the Whalley neighborhood Friday night.
