Police issue warning after three women groped near Seawall

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Police are out with a warning after three women were apparently groped on the seawall last week.

Vancouver Police say they received three reports last Friday from women –in their late 20s to late 30s– who say they were touched by a man on a bike.

A fourth woman was also sexually assaulted near Cornwall and Cypress on Sunday. Officers say the suspect in that attack rode away on a bike as well.

It’s believed the suspect is the same in all the cases and need your help to find this person.

The suspect –who is believed to be in his 20s to early 30s– is described as 5’9″ tall with a slim build. He has darker skin, black hair in a short buzz-cut and was reportedly riding a dark-coloured bike.

Police believe another woman may have also been groped, but she has not yet come forward.

Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the gropings is asked to call Vancouver Police at (604)-717-0603. If you would like to remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.
