Tuesday set to be first good look at how bridge toll removal affects traffic

METRO VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Tuesday morning’s commute will be the first indication of how drivers adjust their routes, now that the Port Mann and Golden Ears bridges are free.

Tolls were removed ahead of the long weekend on Friday.

With kids back in class and more people heading back to the office, there will be more volume on Highway 1.

We’ve been told it’s likely a lot of a drivers will move back to the Port Mann after using the free Pattullo since 2012.

The NEWS 1130 Air Patrol will be up Tuesday morning to keep an eye on it.
