The child, a four-year-old boy, was found in a car in Etobicoke on Thursday afternoon. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead.

The boy had just turned four, police told our Toronto station 680 NEWS. As of Friday morning, a memorial was growing outside the building where he lived.

The car was behind an apartment building on Mill Road, near Burnhamthorpe, around 1 p.m.
