VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Do you remember what to do in the event of an earthquake?
Today is your chance to refresh your memory, with the Great British Columbia ShakeOut. The goal is to raise awareness of the risk of an earthquake in this province, as well as the importance of “Drop, Cover and Hold On.”
Last year, organizers say more than 800,000 people in BC took part in the annual earthquake drill and 43 million people participated worldwide.
NEWS 1130 will be taking part in the ShakeOut, which happens at exactly 10:19 a.m. today. Tune in to take part with us.
