LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) – A body has been pulled from a dumpster fire in Langley. Fire crews discovered the body this morning in the dumpster behind some businesses on the Langley Bypass near 200 Street.
“When they extinguished the fire, they located the body of a deceased female inside the dumpster,” says RCMP Corporal Craig van Herk.
He tells us foul play has not been ruled out.
“We don’t have a confirmed identity of the body of the deceased. We can say from our investigators at the scene that they are confident that the remains are not those of the missing person that we are still looking for, Kristina Ward.”
Ward, a 20-year-old woman from Abbotsford, has been missing for several weeks.
Police tape is blocking off the area, and Mounties expect to be in the area for several hours.
