IHIT called in after deadly double shooting in Surrey

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – A man is dead after a double shooting in South Surrey early this morning.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in, and is focusing the investigation on the area near Crescent Road and Elgin Road.

They were called shortly after 2 a.m. and Mounties say when officers arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds; he later died of his injuries.

RCMP say a woman also gave them a call, saying she had been shot and drove herself away from the scene. She is in the hospital with serious injuries.

“[Investigators are] trying to locate witnesses or any video surveillance that may have depicted what had occurred prior to the call to police,” says Sergeant Duane Honeyman.

Mounties believe this was a targeted attack.
