We aren’t done yet with this early blast of winter weather!

LOWER MAINLAND (NEWS 1130) – The first taste of wintery weather has many people south of the Fraser, the Tri-Cities and parts of the Fraser Valley hoping this isn’t a taste of what could happen next. Those areas were hit with centimetres of snow, while others didn’t get a flake.

About 10 centimetres fell in the Chilliwack region overnight.

NEWS 1130 Meteorologist Russ Lacate says today is trending towards drier and sunny conditions. But the next few days could bring more messy weather.

“This fresh supply of cold air is going to hang around all weekend. And with increasingly cloudy skies all over again on Saturday, there’s another chance of flurries, or at least some showers of sleet into Saturday afternoon, lasting to the mid-point of the weekend.”
