Aphria Inc. (TSX:APH). Healthcare. Down $1.00, or 6.60 per cent, to $14.15 on 6.8 million shares.

Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. (TSX:VRX). Pharmaceutical. Up 12 cents, or 0.43 per cent, to $28.30 on 6.1 million shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Down two cents, or 0.63 per cent, to $3.13 on 5.4 million shares.

Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Up 18 cents, or 5.68 per cent, to $3.35 on 4.8 million shares.

Empire Company Ltd. (TSX:EMP.A). Retail. Down $1.56, or 5.97 per cent, to $24.59 on 747,287 shares. The company is planning to convert up to a quarter of its 255 Safeway and Sobeys stores in Western Canada to its discount FreshCo banner over the next five years. Empire made the announcement as it posted a second-quarter loss as it was hit by restructuring costs. It lost $23.6 million (nine cents per share), compared with a profit of $33.1 million (12 cents per share) a year ago. Revenue grew to $6.03 billion, up from $5.93 million.
