Foul play suspected in Christmas Day deaths on Vancouver Island

OAK BAY (NEWS 1130) – Police on Vancouver Island are investigating the deaths of two people who were found in an Oak Bay apartment on Christmas Day.

A third person was also discovered with injuries and taken to the hospital.

Investigators say they went to the residence after they were notified of a “potential incident” about 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Police say foul play is suspected but there’s no reason to believe the public is at risk.

Tamara Slobogean, with BT Vancouver, has been at the scene this morning.

“Police are quietly going in and out of what appears to be a three-storey walk-up, about a block or so from the water here in Oak Bay. A few strings of police tape are still up as these officers are doing their work. A small number of reporters have gathered outside.”

“It’s a very nice part of Victoria. It’s very quiet, many older heritage homes here.”

No names or ages have been released.
