Three people hurt in Vancouver shooting

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Three people, including a teen, have been hurt in Saturday night’s shooting in Vancouver.

Police say they responded to reports of several shots being fire in the area of East Broadway and Ontario Street just after 9:15 p.m.

Investigators believe one of the victims — a man in his early 20s — was targeted. He is in hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. A second man in his 30s was also hurt, but was treated at the scene and released. Meanwhile, a 15-year-old from Coquitlam was also seriously hurt and is in hospital. The teen is said to have been in a vehicle driving by the area at the time of the shooting.

The VPD says no arrests have been made, and are asking for any witnesses to come forward. Investigators are also asking for anyone driving in the area with dash-cam footage to contact the VPD’s Major Crime Section at 604-717- 2500.

Broadway has now reopened between Quebec and Ontario streets.
