VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Police need your help finding the man responsible for a violent robbery at a marijuana shop in Vancouver.

It happened on around 1 p.m. on November 4, 2017 at the Weeds Glass and Gifts shop on Victoria Drive near East 34th Avenue. Surveillance video released by police shows a man jumping onto the counter and shoving the worker before stealing from the shelves.

“The suspect walked to the front door. He was buzzed in,” says VPD Constable Jason Doucette. “After just spending a minute or so in the store, he hopped up onto the counter, started helping himself to product behind the counter and allegedly assaulted one of the female store employees.”

“He was running out the front door and assaulted a man, who actually was also an employee returning to the store, before fleeing,” he adds.

“VPD detectives have exhausted any leads to identify this man,” says Doucette.

Police are hoping someone will recognize the man and help them identify him.

The suspect is described as 19 to 25 years old and about 5’10 tall with medium- to dark-skin, shaved dark hair, brown eyes, and an athletic build.

“Of particular notice, the witnesses were pointing out his eyebrows. They say he’s got prominent, dark eyebrows,” notes Doucette.

If you recognize the man in the video or have any other information about the robbery, you’re asked to call detectives at 604-717-8924 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
