Charges laid in sexual assault of girl in Surrey

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – Charges have been laid following a sex attack Surrey Mounties told us about last week in which we were told a man broke into a home and sexually assaulted a girl.

Mounties now say a 45-year-old man is charged with sexual assault, breaking and entering, and sexual interference.

RCMP say at about 4 a.m. on Thursday, a man broke into the home in the area of 106A Avenue and 132A Street and attacked the girl.

The suspect was confronted by someone else in the home and ran out the back door before officers arrived.

The girl was not physically hurt, but understandably shaken up.

Anthony Trevelyan of Surrey made his first appearance in court today and will be kept in jail for the time being.
