LISTEN: Special Humboldt Broncos Broadcast

HUMBOLDT, Saskatchewan (NEWS 1130) – The entire country was rocked this weekend when the tragic news broke–a bus carrying the Junior A hockey team the Humboldt Broncos crashed in Saskatchewan, killing 15 people and injuring another 14.

The story became more and more heartbreaking as the nation learned the names of the people killed. The bus driver, Broncos head and assistant coach, and the young team’s captain are all among the dead.

Monday afternoon, the Saskatchewan Health Authority reported that 12 people remain in their hospital beds–four in critical, four in serious, and four in stable condition.

NEWS 1130’s sister station in Ottawa carried a special broadcast to start this week, honouring those affected by the crash.
