Officers tried to stop the car, but according to the RCMP, the driver tried to get away by ramming into several police cruisers. That’s when shots were fired by police.

Mounties say the man suffered “unknown injuries” and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. His name has not been released.

No one else was hurt.
