Man arrested after shots fired at RCMP detachment on N.B. First Nation

TOBIQUE, N.B. – One man is in custody after shots were fired into the RCMP detachment on the Tobique First Nation in western New Brunswick.

Cpl. Jullie Rogers-Marsh says officers arrived at the detachment on Sunday to find several bullet holes in the side and the back of the building.

She said it’s believed that the incident happened early Sunday.

No one was injured.

On Monday, a 25-year-old man from Tobique First Nation was arrested in relation to the incident, and he remains in custody on another matter.

Charges are pending in connection with the shooting.
