Abbotsford man facing 13 charges in 2017 Ladner hit and run

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) – Nearly a year after a serious hit and run in Ladner, a suspect has been arrested and charged with some 13 charges.

On June 11, 2017, a man drove his vehicle into a group of five pedestrians on 48-A Ave near Linden Drive. Two of the men were seriously hurt, the other three suffered minor injuries.

The driver took off without stopping. Police say after some investigating, the suspected driver in the hit and run was involved in some kind of fight at a bar with some, if not all, of the pedestrians that were hit.

All five men injured are expected to make a full recovery.

Patrick John Scott McIntyre, 20, of Abbotsford is facing three counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm, five counts of assault with a weapon, and five counts of failing to remain at the scene of an accident.

McIntyre has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court June 12.
