Semi crash causes major delays on Highway 1

LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) – It’s a slow-go if you’re on Highway 1 in Langley.
There are delays in both directions after an 18-wheeler heading to the Fraser Valley hit the Glover Road overpass.
Darren Grieve is high above it all in the NEWS 1130 Air Patrol.
“I just see highway crews on scene at the present time making sure that the lane is blocked so people don’t drive into the back of this trailer but outside of that not a lot of action just yet to get this thing removed.”
He says it’s only a matter of time before the engineers show up to inspect the damage.
“I imagine that’s what they’ll do, once the trailer is out of the way. It’s kind of hard to access right now because the trailer is just about right under that overpass, but once it is out of the way I would imagine they’d be having a look at that overpass to see that it’s structurally sound.”
There are also delays if you’re coming out the Interior.
One southbound lane of the Coquihalla is closed north of Hope because of a rollover crash involving a semi. Northbound traffic is not affected.
