Vancouver Aquarium gets love from Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The Vancouver Aquarium is giving a little love to Jimmy Fallon, and the late night talk show host is giving it right back.

Fallon recently had Washington Capitals players Alexander Ovechkin and Braden Holtby on The Tonight Show to celebrate the team’s Stanley Cup victory.

The pair brought the cup on the show, and drank from the cup alongside Fallon and Triple Crown-winning Justify’s jockey, Mike Smith.

Before they took a sip, Fallon handed out paper straws. Plastic straws have been a hot environmental topic as of late, prompting the City of Vancouver to ban them in a new zero-waste strategy.

The Vancouver Aquarium tweeted at the star to thank him (and Ovechkin, Holtby, and Smith) for using a more environmentally friendly straw and he responded saying, “It’s PAPER straws or NO straws.”
