On December 10th, 2017, NEWS 1130’s Tim James is running 42.2km at the Honolulu Marathon to raise money and awareness for Team Diabetes! Before he gets there, he needs YOUR support! If you can donate, please contribute $5 (or more!) to Diabetes Canada, which supports more than 10 million Canadians living with diabetes or prediabetes.
Tim must also run 952km to train for this marathon. That’s like running from Vancouver to Calgary!
Help support Team Diabetes Canada as they embark on the 2017 Honolulu Marathon.

Why your support is so important
D-Camps is a unique program offered exclusively by Diabetes Canada. At D-Camps, campers get a break from being different. Camp is one of the few places where everyone just “gets it,” where the world runs on “diabetes time” and nothing has to be explained. Campers will meet other children who share a personal understanding of the challenges that come from living with diabetes, and many of these relationships develop into lifelong friendships. When children leave camp, they will have gained a new level of independence in managing their diabetes and feel empowered to continue the healthy practices they learned at camp.
