Born and raised in Vancouver, Denise started working in the media right out of high school as a reporter for Street Cents on CBC. A few years later, she decided to broaden her horizons and spend a year living in Ireland. After earning her diploma in Broadcast Journalism from BCIT, she spent three years reporting and anchoring at AM1150 in Kelowna. In September 2010 she returned home to Vancouver and joined News1130.
Denise loves ice cream and Christmas, and hates cilantro.
