Ryan started his career in news by interning with Global Television in Halifax during the summer of 2005. After completing college that fall, he promptly landed a gig as an Afternoon Reporter with News 88.9 in Saint John, New Brunswick. After a few years out of the biz, he resurfaced on the West coast and joined the News1130 team in July 2011. He now dabbles in weekend and overnight anchoring/editing. Ryan also considers himself a major sports buff and has experience hosting play-by-play for CIS and Jr A hockey, as well as both radio and television colour commentary for several QMJHL teams.

While not at work Ryan enjoys hiking, camping, video games, watching a wide-variety of sports and spending time with his wife.
