VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Sprucing up your Christmas wardrobe on a budget.  News1130 has some tips on how to look good this holiday season and not break the bank.  The key is to pick out one target piece that you can dress up or down and take from day to night.

Fashion expert Joyce Lau, who runs a local fashion bootcamp, says there are tons of holiday sales on right now and it's best to find something that's festive.  She adds anything with a gold shimmer, that's red, or lacy and then pair it with something already in your closet.

Lau explains that any outfit can be outstanding with only the slightest changes.  "Adding accessories, pick out a gorgeous pair of chandelier earrings, something very dramatic.  Another easy way is to add a great pair of heels, so sex it up and make it so it's a little higher heel."

Lau says another way to stretch your dollar is to make sure you only buy items that are versatile.
